What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

Scripture: We believe the Bible as the inspired, infallible, authoritative word of God. [2 Timothy 3:16-17]

Trinity: We believe there is one God eternally existence in three persons: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. [1 John 5:6-8]

Jesus: We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His miracles, His sinless life, His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His imminent return. [1 Cor. 15:3-4, 1Peter 2:18-24, John 3:16, Acts 1:10-11, 1 Thes 4:13-18]

Water Baptism: We believe in water baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. [Matt. 3:11, Matt. 28:18-19, John 14:6]

Communion: The Lord's Supper is Commemoration of the death of the Lord and is done in remembrance of him until He comes again and is a sign of our participation in him.

Family and Marriage: We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman and Family commitment. [Eph. 5:31-33, 6:1-4, Heb. 13:4]

Baptism of Holy Spirit: We believe that the full consummation of the Baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidence in the speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives utterance: [Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:2, Acts 19:6, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:42-43, Matt. 3:11]

Divine Healing: We believe that deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. [Isa. 53:4, Matt. 8:16-17, Mark 16:18, John 5:6-14, 1Peter 2:24]

Resurrection: We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, that they are saved unto the resurrection of life, and that they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. [John 5:24-29]

Salvation: We believe salvation comes through confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  [Acts 4:12, Rom. 10:9, John 14:6]
