Daily Devotion

Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
Ephesians 5:14

Life has a way of lulling us into spiritual complacency. We become busy with responsibilities, distracted by worries, and consumed by routines. Before long, our hearts may still believe in God, but our spirits feel sluggish and disconnected. We are going through the motions rather than living with expectation and purpose.

The call of God is not merely to exist but to awaken. He invites us to open our eyes to His presence, His voice, and His work around us. Spiritual awakening begins when we become aware that God is speaking, moving, and inviting us into deeper fellowship with Him.

Awakening your spirit does not always require dramatic change. Sometimes it begins with a simple moment of honesty before God. It starts with asking difficult questions, listening carefully, and allowing the Holy Spirit to search your heart.

As we prepare for the Feast of Trumpets,  spend time with the Lord today, consider these questions:

* What areas of my spiritual life have become routine rather than relational?
* Have I been more focused on earthly concerns than eternal priorities?
* Is there a place where God is calling me to greater obedience?
* What passion, dream, or calling have I allowed to grow dormant?
* Am I making space to hear God's voice, or am I filling every moment with noise?

God does not awaken us to condemn us. He awakens us because He loves us. He desires to renew your passion, restore your joy, and remind you that your life has purpose in His Kingdom. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead lives within you. There is more life, more growth, more intimacy, and more purpose available than you may currently realize. Today, ask the Lord to stir what has grown quiet and breathe fresh life into what has become weary.

Good Morning Lord,

Awaken my spirit today. Open my eyes to see where You are working and open my ears to hear Your voice. Search my heart and reveal anything that has distracted me from Your presence. Renew my passion for You, restore my joy, and strengthen my desire to walk in obedience. Let Your Spirit breathe fresh life into every area that has become weary or dormant. May I live fully awake to Your purpose and Your glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
