Then everyone who survives of all the nations that came against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
Zechariah 14:16
The Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot, is one of God's appointed times that reminds us of His faithfulness, provision, and desire to dwell among His people. In Zechariah's vision, we see a future picture of people from every nation gathering together to worship the King. Worship was never meant to be a solitary experience. From the beginning, God has called a people unto Himself not individuals, but a family, a community, and a covenant people.
In a world that often encourages independence and isolation, Sukkot reminds us that we were created for connection. The journey of faith is strengthened when we walk alongside others who encourage us, pray for us, and remind us of God's promises. There are seasons when burdens feel heavy, questions seem overwhelming, and strength feels depleted. During those times, the fellowship of believers becomes one of God's greatest gifts. What one person cannot carry alone, a community can help bear together.
The temporary booths used during Tabernacles remind us that this world is not our permanent home. We are pilgrims traveling together toward God's Kingdom. Along the way, we need one another. We need worship, shared testimony, prayer, encouragement, and accountability. Every gathering around God's Word becomes a reminder that He is present among His people.
Yeshua demonstrated this truth throughout His ministry. He taught in gatherings, worshiped in community, celebrated the appointed feasts, and built relationships with His disciples. He never intended for His followers to journey alone. When we remain connected to God's people, we often find strength we did not know we had and hope we did not know we needed.
Good Morning Lord,
Thank You for placing me in Your family. Thank You for brothers and sisters who walk alongside me in faith. Help me to remain connected to You and to Your people. Teach me to encourage others, bear burdens with compassion, and worship with a grateful heart. As we gather together, let Your presence strengthen us and remind us that we are never alone. Deepen my fellowship with You and with those You have called me to walk beside. In Yeshua's name, Amen.
