The harvest is great, but the workers are few. Matthew 9:37
Yeshua spoke these words after seeing the crowds and recognizing their spiritual need. He saw people who were distressed, helpless, and in need of the Shepherd's care. His response was not to condemn them but to recognize the great need for workers in God's harvest.
Today, the harvest is still great. People are searching for hope, wrestling with grief, carrying hidden wounds, and asking questions about the meaning of life. Some may never openly admit their spiritual hunger, but beneath their outward appearance may be a heart longing for peace, purpose, and truth. The harvest field is not limited to a church building or a ministry event. It includes our families, workplaces, neighborhoods, schools, friendships, and online communities. God may have already placed someone in your life who needs the encouragement, testimony, or truth you can share. We do not need to wait for a special platform to participate in the harvest. Sometimes the work begins with a conversation, a sincere question, an invitation to church, or a willingness to listen without judgment.
The need is great, but God has not left us without purpose. He calls us to open our eyes, recognize the opportunities around us, and respond with a willing heart.
Good Morning Lord,
Open my eyes to the harvest around me. Help me recognize the people who need Your love and give me the courage to reach out and be your hands and feet. In Jesus name, Amen.
