Daily Devotion

So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. Matthew 9:38

Before Yeshua instructed His disciples to go, He instructed them to pray. This reminds us that reaching souls begins with dependence on God.

We cannot change a person's heart by force. We cannot argue someone into genuine faith or manufacture spiritual transformation through our own efforts. We can share the truth, demonstrate God's love, and answer questions with gentleness, but only God can bring about the deep work of conviction and transformation in a person's heart.

Prayer prepares the worker as much as it prepares the way for the work. As we pray for others, God can change our attitudes, remove our fear, deepen our compassion, and make us more attentive to His leading.
Pray for your family members who have wandered from faith. Pray for your coworkers who are searching for meaning. Pray for your community, your church, and the people who have never heard the good news of Yeshua. And do not pray only for souls to be reached. Pray for workers to be raised up. We need believers who are willing to serve, teach, encourage, disciple, and share the message of salvation.

The harvest belongs to God, and prayer keeps our hearts aligned with the heart of the Owner.

Good Morning Lord,

I ask You to send laborers into Your harvest. Prepare hearts to receive Your truth and prepare us to serve with love, boldness, and humility. In Yeshua's name, Amen.
