Daily Devotion
I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.
1 Corinthians 3:6–7
Not every person who hears the gospel will respond immediately. Some seeds take time to grow. A conversation today may become the beginning of a spiritual journey that unfolds over months or years.
Paul reminds us that different people may have different roles in the same person's journey. One person plants the seed. Another provides encouragement and answers questions. Someone else may come along later to help that person grow in faith. But God is the One who brings the increase.
This truth frees us from the pressure of believing that we must do everything ourselves. We do not have to have every answer or produce an immediate response. We simply need to be faithful with the opportunities God gives us.
A seed may be planted through a kind word, a testimony of God's faithfulness, an invitation to worship, or a Scripture shared at the right moment. Even when we do not see immediate results, our faithfulness can still matter.
Do not despise small beginnings. Keep sowing truth in love. Keep living out the message you proclaim. Trust God to work in ways that may remain hidden from you.
Good Morning Lord,
Help me sow the seed of Your truth faithfully. Remove the pressure to control the outcome, and teach me to trust You for the growth. In Jesus name, Amen.
