Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. Psalm 103:2

It is easy to become so focused on what we don't have that we overlook everything we do have. We focus on the unanswered prayer, the open door that hasn't come, the relationship that needs healing, or the opportunity we are still waiting for. But what happens when we pause long enough to remember?

Remember the prayers God has answered. Remember the doors He opened. Remember the times He provided when you didn't know how things would work out. Remember the strength He gave you when you thought you couldn't make it.

Sometimes the greatest enemy of gratitude is forgetfulness. When we forget what God has done, we begin to question what He can do. Take inventory of your blessings instead of counting your disappointments. Your life may not look exactly as you imagined, but there is still so much evidence of God's goodness.

Good Morning Lord,

Forgive me for the times I have focused so much on what I lack that I have forgotten what You have provided. Open my eyes to recognize Your blessings. Help me remember Your faithfulness and never take Your goodness for granted. In Jesus name, Amen.
