As a deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.

Loving other people is the second greatest commandment. Changing our thinking and our ways we put others’ needs ahead of our own not only helps people but it also helps us. When we work to heal other people’s wounds, our own wounds are also healed by God. I think this is one of those glorious mysteries of God’s ways He does things.

During these 40 days, the Lord wants to restore our strength and refresh us for the journey ahead. Seek Him and His ways. Hunger and thirst after Him. Love brings with it a healing balm; so love.
