PB Devotional
“Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone. See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. Always be joyful. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:14-16, 18 NLT
There are people desperate for the healing power and love of Jesus. If we are lazy or timid in sharing our faith and using the gifts God has given us (or worse, too busy quarreling) they may never meet Him. But, if we use our time and energy to warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak and be patient with everyone we will be living out our calling to invite as many people as possible into a relationship with Jesus before He returns.
This is what the Ordinary Days of the church are about. Go about doing good and saving souls. Be the light in the darkness.
