PB Devotional
“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:23-25 NLT
When a church body is healthy, its members realize they are part of the congregation not only to receive but also to be a blessing.
Statistics reveal that in most churches, 20 percent of the people do 80 percent of the work. This is not to guilt you into “getting involved” at church, rather it is to inspire you. Imagine, God has supernaturally gifted you so that He can glorify Himself through you as you serve Christ.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
Ephesians 2:10 NLT
Many see work happening at church and think, they really don’t need me. Don’t be deceived. A well running ministry may appear to have all its bases covered and it might. But if you look closely you'll discover many individuals who are doing more work than they’d like simply because today, just as in Jesus day,
“the harvest is truly great but the workers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers…”
Luke10:2
Your willingness to minister in church with what God has gifted you is likely the answer to someone’s prayer. God send more workers to help with the harvest.
Value the local church.
