“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”

Pastoring is one of the gifts from the Holy Spirit. Paul shows the gift of pastoring on his life when he said,

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now… And it is right for me to feel this way about you all for I hold you in my heart”
Philippians 1:3-7

Paul’s affection for these precious people who partnered with him in spreading the glorious gospel of grace is evident. In the same way, when you become a partner of a ministry you bring joy to the heart of the pastor, grow their love for you, and cause them to joyfully thank God for your faithful service to Christ.
