PB Devotion
Now I want to lay it all out for you.
If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn't love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God's secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn't love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn't love others, I would have gained nothing.
You should operate in the gifting God gave you to use. He wants you to use them. But more than anything he wants you to love people. Loving people is a true super power because it's hard to do. It's easier to strategically use the gifts God has given than to love. You are never more like Jesus than when you love. He, Jesus, said they would know us by our love. Yes, greater things shall we do concerning the power of God but it's the compassion of Jesus and the virtue of Jesus that flowed from Him everytime a miracle occurred. It was the over flow of love being poured out. When Jesus said to love he did not limit the showing of love to the lovable. Loving the lovable doesn't count. That's easy to do and desirable to do. Even the world can do that. Loving extends to the unlovable. What does that love look like. Let love guide your gifting. Love covers a multitude of sin. Everyone needs love. So love to the glory of God!!!

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and from and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head, Christ.
