PB Devotion
“For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape. But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief.”
1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 NLT
We are not in the dark about the things of God because the Spirit of the Lord is upon us and living through us. Have you walked in the house and knew someone (mom, dad sibling) was home? You didn't see them and you didn't hear them but there was a knowing; someone else in my family is here. Those who do not “know” the Lord will be surprised about His showing. But those of us who “know” Him will not be surprised at all. We don't know the day or the hour of the Lords return; no man does. But when He returns it will be like walking in the house knowing Dad is home.
The Ordinary Days!!!
…I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit…
