In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Paul simply says very directly: No exceptions, no excuses; in everything give thanks. No matter the situation, we are to find a reason to thank God.

Gratitude should be normal in the life of the Believer.

All things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 4:15

As you receive the grace of God in salvation, it leads to abounding thanksgiving. The pattern of every Christian’s life should be that we endlessly give God thanks.

In 2 Corinthians 9:11, Paul goes on to say,

“You are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.”

So we not only have salvation to be thankful for but we also have everything we need.
When we operate from a place of enough, knowing that our God is more than enough, unending thanksgiving is the result of all that God is doing in our lives.

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good!!
