Daily Devotion

He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8

The Ten Days of Awe invite us to stand before a holy and merciful God with honest hearts. One of the most important qualities we can cultivate during this season is humility. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves; it is recognizing our dependence on God and acknowledging that every good thing comes from Him.

Micah 6:8 reminds us that God desires us to "act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly" with Him. Humility is a daily choice to trust God's wisdom above our own, remain teachable, and surrender our lives to His leading.

Pride says, "I can do this on my own." Humility says, "Lord, I need You." A humble heart is open to correction, quick to repent, and willing to follow wherever God leads. It creates space for us to hear His voice more clearly and receive His guidance. Remember, humility is not weakness but strength surrendered to God.

As you reflect during these holy days, ask the Lord to reveal any areas of pride or self-reliance in your heart. Invite Him to help you walk in greater dependence on Him. When we humble ourselves before God, we position ourselves to receive His wisdom, mercy, and grace.

Good Morning Lord,

Teach me to walk humbly before You. Forgive me for the times I have relied on my own strength instead of Yours. Give me a teachable heart that is quick to listen and obey. Help me follow the example of Yeshua and reflect Your character in all I do. May my life bring honor to You as I walk in humility and dependence upon Your grace. In Yeshua's name, Amen.
