PB Devotion: 21 Day Daniel Fast

“If they listen and obey God, they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives.
All their years will be pleasant.
Job 36:11

“During those days, I, Daniel, went into mourning over Jerusalem for three weeks. I ate only plain and simple food, no seasoning or meat or wine. I neither bathed nor shaved until the three weeks were up.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭10:2-3‬ ‭

Prayer, fasting and giving are some of the key ways we can accelerate the Lord’s blessing in our lives. But, these spiritual disciplines also cultivate a greater sensitivity to God’s voice and open our eyes to what God is doing in the unseen. Daniel in the Book of Daniel; had a horrible vision about the future. He began to fast and pray. What happens in the supernatural during that time was amazing. There is a battle in heavenly places. Wars are raging; but God has the victory. He never stops.

Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. Now I am here to explain what will happen to your people in the future, for this vision concerns a time yet to come.””
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭10:12-14‬ ‭

The Year of the Overflow

#faithfornow #fasting #overflow

May His favor be upon you for a thousand generations. On your children and their children and their children. May His presence go before you, and behind you, and beside you, all round you and within you; He is with you. In the morning, in the evening, when you come and when you go. In your weeping and rejoicing; He is for you.
