PB Devotion
Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.”
Joel 2:12-13
The works of the flesh and obvious…I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:21
The kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all the he had and bought that field. Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he hound one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it. Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fisherman pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets but threw the bad away. This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angles will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 13:44-50
Jesus spent much of his ministry on earth teaching about the kingdom of God. Jesus taught about the kingdom of God through parables; stories that the people could understand. During the 40 Days of Purpose consider which side of separation you would be on today.
When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, quarreling, jealousy, outburst of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division and envy; drunkenness, orgies, wild parties and the like.
Galatians 5:19-21
The works of the flesh are obvious.

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
