PB Devotion

Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.”
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2:12-13‬ ‭

“Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness.”
Ephesians 6:14

The foundation for all reality is truth. In todays complex, modern world, we struggle to discern truth from lies. We encounter “false news” on a daily basis. Social media tailors’ ads and news to use based on our preferences. Many of our political divides are based on different interpretations of reality. If we are to stand against evil, we need to be rooted in truth. In John8:44, Jesus describes the devil as the “Father of Lies.”

You are form your father the devil, and you choose to do your fathers desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
John 8:44

We are to put on righteousness, coupled with truth. There is no righteousness without truth. As the 40 Days of Purpose come to an end, focus on see people and the world through Gods eyes. Fix your perspective. The Word of God says that if you ask for wisdom God will give it to you freely. Ask God for the wisdom to see the truth from a lie. Know that you will always find the truth in the Word of God. There is nothing new under the sun.

40 Days of Purpose

This is the Year of Overflow

Sow Anyhow!!!

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:20-21‬ ‭
