PB Devotion
“Early in the morning on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone was moved away from the entrance. She ran at once to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, breathlessly panting, “They took the Master from the tomb. We don’t know where they’ve put him...But Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. As she wept, she knelt to look into the tomb and saw two angels sitting there, dressed in white, one at the head, the other at the foot of where Jesus’ body had been laid. They said to her, “Woman, why do you weep?” “They took my Master,” she said, “and I don’t know where they put him.” After she said this, she turned away and saw Jesus standing there. But she didn’t recognize him. Jesus spoke to her, “Woman, why do you weep? Who are you looking?”
John 20:1-15 MSG
Who are you looking for? Standing in the face of Jesus; distressed and searching. Maybe you’re full of fear and worry. Maybe you’re sad, discouraged or full shame. Standing in the face of Jesus, the resurrected King, not recognizing who looks back at you. Who are you looking for? Jesus asked Mary, “Who are you looking for?” I ask you, “Who are you looking for?” I encourage you today!!! Know that like Mary you have already found the answer to every situation, problem and circumstance. His name is Jesus. Jesus said, why do you weep, why do you worry or why are you scared? He’s standing right in the mist of your situation. Look no further. You’re in the presence of the King.

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
