“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,”
1 Corinthians 6:19

The best thing we can do with our bodies is to make them a temple for God’s Spirit. We do this by placing our trust and faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior. When we profess Jesus as Lord and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit our bodies have become the temple of the Holy Spirit. Our bodies are not our own because we’ve been bought with a price. We are devoted to Christ. When we allow the Holy Spirit to reside in us, He makes it His home. Those who do not belong to Christ do not have the Spirit of Christ residing in them. Their bodies are not a temple of the Holy Spirit.

I’ve been crucified with Christ; And I no longer live, But Christ lives in me.

And I live by faith; In the son of God; Who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Song by: By Todd Fields

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20-21‬
