“Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for the harvest.”
John 4:35
Pentecost is not just something found in the New Testament, it is an Old Testament holiday tied with the Feast of Harvest, or the Feast of Weeks, signifying the beginning of harvesttime. On Pentecost the disciples encountered a blowing, violent wind and it was followed by what appears to be tongues of fire separating and resting on the disciples. People from many nations gathered to see what was going on. Everyone could understand what was being said! A harvest of souls was being gathered. This is an example of what Jesus meant when he taught his disciples:
“Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for the harvest.”

The Holy Spirit still causes a gathering in our present time. The Holy Spirit causes people to draw near. Souls are ripe for the harvest. Allow the Holy Spirit to led and guide you in every situation. He always knows what to say and what to do. The Holy Spirit knows exactly what people need to hear. Listen to Him. He will minister to you directly and cause you to minister to others. Open your eyes and look at the fields!

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
