This is as certain as my pride in what Christ Jesus our Lord has done in you. And what value was there in fighting wild beasts—those people of Ephesus—if there will be no resurrection from the dead? And if there is no resurrection, “Let’s feast and drink, for tomorrow we die!” Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.””

I hope that we can all agree, at this point, that everything we do in this life equates to nothing if it’s not in light of eternity. Eternal decisions are life decisions. When I say life I’m not talking about this short journey we are on. This span of time is compared to a vapor. It’s a moment. We must consider that we are running a race. This race won’t last forever. What is the point of a race without a finish line? Without the resurrection power of Jesus Christ it would be as if we are running a race with no end and no prize. So do not be distracted by those who say this life is it. Don’t listen to those who say, “Jesus loves everyone!!! We’re all going to Heaven!!” Jesus loves everyone and this is true but love won’t keep you out of hell. Bad company corrupts good character. Spread the Good News!!! The Kingdom of God is near.
