New Year’s Eve is tomorrow. We are getting ready to seek God for vision and clarity for the new year. We do this through fasting. Fasting allows us to hear the voice of God with more clarity. Fasting is not a way to get God to do what we want. Fasting changes us, not God. Everyone can temporarily give up something in order to draw closer to God. So set your heart and mind now.

As Believers, our lives are to be lived hour by hour, day by day for our Lord. When we give, we are to give out of love for the Lord. When we pray, out of devotion to him. When we fast, out of a passion to draw closer to him. This is the life of the Believer.

 Enjoy the New Year celebrations. Truly be grateful for Gods faithfulness. Be gracious and show generosity as we close out the year. Expect God to do something great even as we close out the year. Get ready for God to do something great in the new year. Stir up the spirit of expectation in your life. Know that God wants to bless you just to encourage your faith.
