“Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.”

As we go into this 21 day fast remember it’s for you. Everyone will not fast. Some will even say God doesn’t require it. The truth is he doesn’t require it but he expects it. God offered fasting as a spiritual solution here on earth. You can chose to use it or not. Either way you must remember that fasting is for you. How much of our lives are lived for others? How much do we focus on the desires and needs of others? Well, guess what, we should be focused on others. Fasting helps us see our life and the lives of others through the lens and heart of God. We aren’t the Messiah in peoples lives, but we can hear his voice so clear and see his plan so clear that we change our life and the lives of others in a powerful way. The God way is always the right way. This good deed is not for others to see; this good deed is for you.
