I pray that this time has given you an opportunity to focus on your relationship with God. During Lent, 40 Days of Purpose, you can share your disappointments, heart cries and regrets with God. Share your joys, successes and life celebrations. When you go to God with the good and the bad ask Him to search your heart.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way”
Psalm 139:23-24

This time is marked by ashes. Ashes are messy and many times they represent destruction.  But ashes really represent the first step toward cleansing. I hope during this time you’ve been able to identify the areas of desired change. Embrace the change and expect to grow.
