“I want you to think about how all this makes you more significant, not less. A body isn’t just a single part blown up into something huge. It’s all the different-but-similar parts arranged and functioning together. If Foot said, “I’m not elegant like Hand, embellished with rings; I guess I don’t belong to this body,” would that make it so? If Ear said, “I’m not beautiful like Eye, limpid and expressive; I don’t deserve a place on the head,” would you want to remove it from the body? If the body was all eye, how could it hear? If all ear, how could it smell? As it is, we see that God has carefully placed each part of the body right where he wanted it.”
1 Corinthians 12:14-18 MSG
I used Google search and I asked, “What’s the most important part of the face”? The answer was, “There is no one "most important" part of the face - all the features work together to create a functioning whole. That said, some parts of the face are more essential for certain functions than others. For example, the eyes are vital for vision, while the nose is necessary for breathing and smelling.” Vision, hearing, olfaction, eating, and breathing are obvious functions of the face but have you ever considered your eyebrows. I've seen some unkept, chopped, thinned, completely done away with and drawn back on eyebrows. I have horrible stories concerning my eyebrows. Eyebrows can't do any of the obvious functions of the face but its function is important. Eyebrows are suppose to help keep eyes clean and clear by blocking out light, filtering dust and dirt, and channeling moisture away from the eyes. Eyebrows play a key role in facial expressions and nonverbal communication, exaggerating emotions like surprise, happiness, and anger. They can also help people recognize each other. Eyebrows can add flair to a person's appearance and affect their attractiveness. The shape and length of eyebrows can balance out facial features, such as, your eyes.
Many of us have learned to live without eyebrows. Might we consider how much dust, dirt or moisture gets to our eyes because of the eyebrow situation. Might we consider the workload of the eyelashes because of the eyebrow situation. Could my eyes be more healthy if I took better care of my eyebrows?
The Ordinary Days!!!
“All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages. Are we all apostles? Are we all prophets? Are we all teachers? Do we all have the power to do miracles? Do we all have the gift of healing? Do we all have the ability to speak in unknown languages? Do we all have the ability to interpret unknown languages? Of course not!”
