PB Devotion
Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.”
Joel 2:12-13
“But God, who is rich in mercy, and of the great love which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ.”
Ephesians 2:4-5
Why did God go to the trouble to bring us back to life? Mercy. Love! Imagine the deep love of God the Father for you. Reflect on the truth that Jesus Christ died for you. Just like the parable of the Parodical Son, God the Father is waiting for you with open arms. No matter what you’ve done. No matter what mistakes you’ve made. His arms are waiting. When you choose to believe God and the power of His love; you can, and you will be delivered from sin. We have been saved, raised up, and even seated with Jesus in heavenly places. Where Jesus goes, we get to go. If Jesus is seated above all rule, authority, power and dominion, what does this means for us? During the 40 Days of Purpose, create a space to rest in God’s love. Consider and remember the faithfulness of God. Think about your history with God.

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20-21
