PB Devotion

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

It’s easy to be distracted by the obstacles of life. I have found myself saying at times, “It’s always something” and it’s usually a very true statement. But in times of great anxiety, fear, worry and stress, be thankful. Meditate on the Word of God that breaths life into any situation. Allow the Word to nourish you so you can nourish others. Sympathy and empathy are great but the wisdom and compassion of God flowing through a willing vessel is more impactful.

“My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭20‬-‭27‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Let the peace of God rule and reign in your hearts because everything you do flows from it. Sing to God with gratitude in your hearts because everything you do flows from it.

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
