PB Devotion
May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen
Galatians 1:3-5
God does not need to use a crisis to get our attention. Jesus Christ was the attention getter. He was born to the Virgin Mary. He lived, he was crucified, he died and then he rose again. If that doesn’t get your attention nothing will get your attention. The rescue story began when Jesus came out of that grave. Through the work of the cross the ministry of reconciliation was birthed. We have been rescued from this world. Not a rescue mission of extraction but a rescue mission of redemption. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony. We’ve been found. What can this world do to us? All things work to the good of those who love Jesus Christ.
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
