PB Devotional

“One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him. Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭18‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This is not some sentimental priority that Jesus is commanding us to follow. He is suggesting that it is those, like children, who are often bypassed by the world because they seem so insignificant. Jesus is saying that His focus is towards all people, like these children, who are deemed less valuable.

We as people are only valued by the world when we do what the world does. Stop feeding the beast and watch the world turn on you. We watch how even feeding the beast isn’t enough. If you don’t play by their rules they will still turn on you as if they never knew you. Be in the world but not of the world. Stay on the path of righteousness. Please God! He values you. He knows your name. He calls you His own. He said yes to you before you said yes to Him. He approves of you.

Live as if Christ died yesterday, rose this morning, and is coming back again tomorrow.
