PB Devotion

“Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:8-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

How can love endure through every circumstance? How can love last forever? Love doesn't mean I like you. Love doesn't mean you make my heart skip a beat. Love doesn't mean you make me weak in the knees. The essence of love means faithful, committed and obedience.  The outward manifestation of love looks like patience, kindness, lack jealousy, not boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Love will manifest this way because love is committed, faithful and obedient. What we think we know concerning anything else is partial. We only know partial truth about anything and everything revealed because only God knows the heart of man. Let that soak in for just a minute. Only when we meet Him face to face will we know and understand fully, that's why giftings will pass away, but love will remain. We will remain committed, faithful and obedient. Consider this: if you can't love Jesus now, how will you love him later. For Believers, the love of neighbor means we insist that people are made to know God. He is their ultimate good and happiness. When God showed His love for us He gave us access to His eternal kingdom. We should do the same for others; that's love.

““For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.””
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬
