PB Devotion: 21 Day Daniel Fast
Listen and obey God, they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives.
All their years will be pleasant.
Job 36:11
The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”'
Genesis 12:1-3
Many of us are stuck in the culture we were born into. God was trying to get something to Abram. God also knew if Abram stayed where he was he would not receive all He had for him. In verse one God calls Abram. God had this plan all along, but it was Abram’s choice to answer. How many of us are feeling that calling but we have yet to move because what God is calling us to is uncomfortable or it’s to an area that stretches our faith. As we continue to fast we must stretch our faith. The culture we know is the culture we live. Breaking cultural norms can be very difficult. In the above verses, God reveals what He has in store for Abram if he decides to answer the call. The call takes right now faith. God was calling Abram to a land he knew nothing about, to a place that had very different customs and culture. God was promising this land to Abram. We have to remember as we step out in faith that His Promise still stands and we have to stand on that promise! God will never leave us nor forsake us as we walk in the calling He has preordained for our life.
The Year of the Overflow

May His favor be upon you for a thousand generations. On your children and their children and their children. May His presence go before you, and behind you, and beside you, all round you and within you; He is with you. In the morning, in the evening, when you come and when you go. In your weeping and rejoicing;
He is for you.
All their years will be pleasant.
