PB Devotion

Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.”
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2:12-13‬ ‭

For by grace you have been saved through faith and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God; not the result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9

This is one of the most famous verses in the Bible. It is the foundation of our salvation. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus; not by anything that we do. Salvation is purely a gift from God. This is a foundational truth for any follower of Jesus. As we take steps during this 40 Days of Purpose, to discipline ourselves and develop practices that help us connect with God, we must be careful to never let the means become the end. Our spiritual practices or even our good works could never be enough for us to receive salvation. Our works must be done out of an abundance of love for our God who has saved us.

40 Days of Purpose

This is the Year of Overflow

Sow Anyhow!!!

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:20-21‬ ‭
