PB Devotion

“Jesus said, “You’re not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation—the ‘wind-hovering-over-the-water’ creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into a new life—it’s not possible to enter God’s kingdom. When you look at a baby, it’s just that: a body you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can’t see and touch—the Spirit—and becomes a living spirit. “So don’t be so surprised when I tell you that you have to be ‘born from above’—out of this world, so to speak. You know well enough how the wind blows this way and that. You hear it rustling through the trees, but you have no idea where it comes from or where it’s headed next. That’s the way it is with everyone ‘born from above’ by the wind of God, the Spirit of God.””
‭‭John‬ ‭3:5-8‬ ‭MSG‬‬

In order to receive everything, the Holy Spirit has to offer you must be born again. Many times, people want the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They want the acts of the Holy Spirit, but they have not yet received true salvation. True salvation is a confession of faith out of your month from your heart.  It’s not just mouth service it is heart service. What’s coming out your heart?

“In fact, it says, “The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:8-13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So, call on Him. If you have not received the Holy Spirit; call on Him. Believe in your heart that He is who He says He is and He can do what He says He can do. Confess with your mouth the true belief of your heart and call on Him. You will be saved. Testify of His goodness to Him. Invite the Holy Spirit into your space and get ready to receive. Walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20-21‬
