“Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’”
Acts 11:16
Jesus promised the disciples that he would depart but the Holy Spirit would come. Peter with the rest of the disciples encountered the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Sometime later Peter explained step by step that God had shown him a vision and that God had wanted him to meet with Cornelius; a gentile. Peter pointed out that when he began to speak at Cornelius’s house, the Holy Spirit came on the Gentiles who were there. To Peter, it had felt like Pentecost all over again.
Do you remember when you were baptized by the Holy Spirit? Do you remember when you felt the fire in the pit of your belly? Let the desire for another person to experience the rain of the Holy Spirit fuel you this week. How can something be so good and so powerful and never shared. The Holy Spirit is for everyone. The Holy Spirit is for the Jew and the Gentile. Accept the gift of the Holy Spirit and share Him with others.

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
