Jesus said , “When you fast.” He did not say if you fast.  This means there is an expected intention to fast.

When means: at the time that…We use it to refer to a particular time in the past until another time or until now. It is an adverb because it modifies a verb, and adjective, or another adverb by indicating the time.

So fast. It’s a part of the lifestyle of the Believer. As you fast, do not to make a big production about our fasting, it’s between us and God. Fasting is a position not a proclamation.

We as a body call for a fast to declare our dedication and/or to show God we are serious about our relationship with Him.
When something needs to change, we fast. Fasting changes things just like prayer changes things. Put fasting and prayer together in the name of Jesus and there’s power.
